Please do not ask or nag about updates. Updates will be released when and if it’s ready. It should also be noted that the reason why I don’t bother putting any release date window for updates is because I do not want to give anyone false hope.

Please be patient. I work on my games alone both in writing AND coding (heck, I don’t even have any background in programming). I am also currently working in real life so expect slow updates since work would always take priority over making a game.

I cannot specify when the game is finish because like I’ve posted on the Game FAQ (and the second devlog post I made), I am currently working in real life so updates would be slow. Not to mention, I’m writing AND coding this all by myself. It’s really impossible for me to make any kind of timeframe when the game would be fully finished.
Just like asking for updates, I don’t really want to put any actual date on when the game is done whether it’s something vague like a year because anything at all can happen from the possibility of writer’s block to busy workload in real life. I apologize if this frustrates you but I think it would be best to not put any dates because I don’t like the thought of giving anyone false hope only to be disappointed that it’s date change again and again.

Fixed adding text input for those who choose to have unique warg eye color
Fixed telepathy flavor scene appearing in MCs who don’t choose telepathy as a skill.
Fixed “chapter1 line 851: Invalid Indent? Expected an #option here, not *label” error.
Fixed “choicescript_stats line 1070: Non-existent variable ‘ida’

Sorry guys, apparently I forgot to write the added new scene whilst updating hahahaha Working and that period of no internet would do that to you hahahaha That said I DID ended up adding another choice after that so….. Yay?

Thanks for playing the game. I’m glad you enjoyed it :) All MCs basically have 3 seidr skills. Two of which are seeing the future and communicating with the Aesir. The last one is a choice between four abilities.
Should there be a need to add any flavor text it would likely be about any of these three skills regardless of whether your MC is best or least skilled in any of them.
Some flavor text might be due to skill check with no choice for example once your MC could communicate with the Aesir while others require skill checks with choices like during a raid

I thought I had clicked the wrong thing first and restarted, but on my second run through I checked that stats screen and it had Visna already there and the text box still came up.

Fixed the bug for nonbinary clothing mentioned by an anon. Thanks for pointing it out btw!
Added Artbreeder character portraits to the game. You can see Bjorn, Frode, Einarr and Sif/Sigurd! Will add the portraits here as well for the other ROs and other notable characters in the game.
Added two words on the glossary and extra lore about the Bear Clan.
Added flavor texts depending on which seidr skill you choose.
Added an unsure path for the bedding scene. After some thought, I decided not to restrict your path to your relationship with the RO meaning, you CAN change your mind at some point in the story. HOWEVER the path you choose is ONLY to determine how you react on your first night with Sigurd/Sif.

Edit: Added the RO character portraits on the Love Interest post.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the radio silence guys. It has been a roller coaster ride. I have been silent for awhile as I’m currently working. It had started off as a part time job before I was offered a permanent place which I’ve accepted so work had been a little hectic as my workplace is had moved to a different area in town. It took awhile for things to go back to normal since I also helped with the move.

And then there was the problem with the internet which made it worse since I couldn’t do any researching for my story. Thankfully, internet is back up again in my home.

Anyways, due to me working at the moment, I won’t have time to write so much though I WON’T say that I’m canceling the games. I would however be updating very slowly because of this. Ah, and based on my observation: I will be focusing on Retribution instead of Crossroads for any updates hence why Crossroads would be on hiatus (also, I have writer’s block for the first hangout with A)

So… On to some good news. I have worked on some stuff in my Retribution game

Made an extra lore about the Bear Clan which is really thanks to an episode from Lore podcast for the idea.
The game would have a unique skill increase system. An activity will get you a random scene in which you either might get a skill increase or fail at it. I’m still working on this since chapter two is where you’re suppose to get free time. This is also why it’s taking awhile since it would require testing if the skill points stay permanent. If it works, it would also be implemented in Crossroads as well.
Made some progress in Chapter 2 (about 1k+ words excluding code. I’ve been splitting focus between the main story and the free time scene)
Added TWO new romantic interest to the story. One you will meet in chapter 2 and a secret RO. Both can be romanced by both genders. The chapter 2 RO is gender variable; meaning they can be either a man or woman depending on your choice. The secret RO however is gender locked for a reason. You can miss seeing the secret RO and they would also have a few requirements in order to romance them (again, it won’t be your character’s gender though). I won’t update the Love Interest post on the chapter 2 RO until chapter 2 is released.
Been fiddling with Artbreeder too so I will post the character portraits. Unfortunately because it’s generated, the portraits won’t be super accurate.
